Acceptable Use Policy

This policy is part of the Terms of Service between you and APBLD. It applies to your inputs, your outputs, share links, API keys and any tool you connect to Cinara. If you're unsure whether something is allowed, ask us first at support@cinara.ai.

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for what you create, upload and share with Cinara, and for how you use it. Cinara is a tool: we don't review content before it's made, and our filters and checks don't make us responsible for it. If your use breaks this policy or the law, you bear the consequences, including any claims, fines and costs, as the Terms of Service set out.

1. Child safety

• Any sexual content involving minors, or content that sexualises children in any way. We report it to the authorities.
• Content that targets, grooms, exploits or endangers minors.
• Uploading, cloning or recreating the voice or likeness of anyone under 18.

2. Illegal activity and intellectual property

• Anything that breaks the law where you or your audience are, or that promotes or helps others to break it.
• Uploading, transcribing, dubbing, converting or recreating material you don't have the rights to use, including copyrighted songs, recordings, books, video and images.
• Asking Music to copy a named artist, or passing off a song, voice or work as someone else's.

3. Privacy

• Recording, transcribing or processing people without the consent the law requires.
• Collecting, exposing or publishing other people's personal or sensitive information without permission, including doxxing.

4. Fraud and scams

• Scams and phishing, including calls or messages that pretend to be a family member, bank, employer, company or official.
• Robocalls, spam, or automated calls or messages sent without the consent the law requires.
• Voice-based identity fraud, including getting past voice authentication or identity checks.
• Fake endorsements, fake reviews, or testimonials in someone else's voice.
• Getting around Cinara's consent statements or voice checks, for example by playing synthetic or recorded audio as the statement, or having someone other than the speaker read it.

5. Impersonation and non-consensual voices and likenesses

• Cloning, designing or imitating anyone's voice without their consent, as set out in the Voice Consent Policy.
• Using anyone's name, voice, image or likeness without the right to do so, or to harass, sexualise, humiliate or deceive them or others.
• Sexual or intimate content depicting a real person without their consent.
• Presenting synthetic audio, images or video as a genuine recording of a real person.

6. Elections and civic processes

• Voter suppression, or false or misleading information about when, where or how to vote, or about election results or processes.
• Impersonating candidates, election officials, public officials or political parties, even with their permission.
• Content designed to deceive people about real political events.

7. Regulated advice

Presenting medical, legal, financial or other regulated advice made with Cinara as if it came from a qualified professional, without review by a qualified person and a clear disclosure that AI was used.

8. Violent, hateful, extremist and self-harm content

• Threats, harassment or bullying, or content that promotes violence.
• Content that promotes hatred against people based on protected characteristics such as race, religion, caste, gender, sexuality or disability.
• Content that promotes terrorism or violent extremism.
• Content that encourages suicide, self-harm or eating disorders.

Clearly framed fiction, news reporting and education are not automatically banned, but must not be used as cover for the content above.

9. Security abuse

• Creating or spreading malware, including through share links.
• Accessing accounts, systems or data without authorisation, or probing, scanning or testing the Service's security without our written permission.
• Using Cinara for covert surveillance or to track people.

10. Misuse of the Service

• Using outputs made on the free plan for commercial purposes.
• Reselling, renting or sharing accounts or API keys, or creating several accounts to collect free credits.
• Scraping, crawling or bulk-downloading the Service, or evading rate limits.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling or trying to extract the Service's models, voices or source code.
• Using outputs or the Service to build or train competing AI models or voice libraries.
• Overloading, disrupting or interfering with the Service or other users.
• Getting around filters that refuse well-known people, artists or unsafe images.
• Using share links to host spam or content unrelated to your work in Cinara.

11. Disclose synthetic content

• Disclose that audio, images or video are AI-generated or synthetic wherever the law or the platform you post on requires it, including social media AI labels, and wherever a listener or viewer could reasonably be misled.
• Don't remove or alter any labels, watermarks or metadata that identify content as AI-generated, including any Cinara adds.

12. What we do about misuse

We find misuse through automated checks, reports and human review. We may remove content, turn off share links, disable voices or API keys, withhold credits, suspend or close accounts, report illegal activity to the authorities, and cooperate with law enforcement in response to lawful requests. Where it's appropriate and lawful we will tell you what happened and why. Serious or repeated breaches lead to permanent closure. You can appeal a decision within 6 months, as the Terms of Service describe.

13. Report misuse

Email support@cinara.ai with the share link or where you found the content, what's wrong, and how to reach you. If it's your own voice or likeness, say so. Read more on our Safety page.
